  • Hello,

First check if SQL Server Service is running and if you find any errors in SQL Server ErrorLog file.

A local connection should work even after renaming the host, only remote connections can face issues; for this you have to follow the simple steps from Rename a Computer that Hosts a Stand-Alone Instance of SQL Server; but of cause you need to connect first to SQL Server

  • Hello ,

Are trying window authentication ? or SA ?

you need to start SQL-Server in single-user mode in which any local administrator has access and you can fix your broken logins.

  • Hi RVK25,

Based on your image, it sounds like either your SQL Server service is not running, or named pipes is not enabled in SQL Server configuration manager. Either way you would need to follow the instructions here to verify your configuration.

If you have any other questions, please let me know.
