False error in XAML parsing

    Question

  • I'm getting a persistent non-fatal error when the building my project

Error 1 Closing tag for element '<local:ControllerButton>' was not found.

Of course there is an ending tag in my XAML and the project builds and runs just fine. How can I get VS to just give up on this error?

(Yes, I've tried a clean build)

  • Hello Jim,

Make sure you have VS 2012 update 2 installed. There were a number of XAML parsing issues fixed in the latest update.

  • Hi,

Did you test on other new project? I think this maybe Visual Studio's issue.

    Best regards,
    Jesse
