System.EnterpriseServices.Wrapper.dll RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a problem to connect to a ACCESS database using JET.OLEDB.4.0 provider. When i try to open the db, i have a error about 'System.EnterpriseServices.Wrapper.dll', impossible to find it.

    I use Visual Basic 2005.

Using Visual Basic 2003 i don't have any kind of problem.

    Thanks.

  • The exact error is :

Message="Impossible to load the file or the assembly 'System.EnterpriseServices.Wrapper.dll' or one of his dependence. Impossible to find the specific file".

But now i solved my problem. I set the "OLE DB Services" to EnableAll, normaly is Default. Now in the connection string there is "OLE DB Services = -1".

    Thanks for all.

  • As frankkkk pointed, the values was set inside of the connection string, like

    string connectionString = "Data Source=........;OLE DB Services = -1;"

  • What is exact error message? Do you really need to use Enterprise Services with Access database. I believe Access does not support and does not participate in distributed transactions, so there is no any gain to use Enterprise Services.

  • It would probably help to post the exact error message. Otherwise, you may want to run the code from the link below to see if you have any Registry entries with permissions problems.
