Question on Licensing RRS feed

  • Sorry for the NOOB question,

I'm looking at getting a server with standard edition and running 2 standard ed vm's. So, my question is if I can run a couple of windows 10 pro vm's on the same server (each win10 will have it's own license). Just making sure I don't violate any restrictions.

    Thanks!

  • Hello Friend,

    Licensing information is always sensitive.
I recommend that you look for a software vendor.
The licensing rules are always changing so information here today may be different tomorrow. And it can also create confusion for other people.

In your case I believe that you will need a license for the virtualization server and the licenses for each of Windows 10.
    Just make sure.

    Good luck.
