Testing of windows store apps in Windows 8 Phone RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have created a basic RSS reader app using Windows store template of Visual Studio 2012.

Now I want to test the APP in an actual windows 8 Phone.

Can anyone walk me through this process. Is there a direct way to do this?

Any info on this will be greatly helpful

    Regards,

  • yes you need to install the Windows Phone 8 sdk and create a own project that targets wp8. For testing you can choose device in visualstudio as deploy target and then if your Phone is developer unlocked you can deploy to your phone

  • Hi Dave,

Thanx for the reply. So does it mean that for my app to work on a windows 8 phone, i need to use a windows 8 phone template only

of visual studio 2012?   Coz this is a very simple and basic app  that i have made which i thought would work on all windows 8 devices.

If i do make the app using Windows 8 Phone template then how to install it in my phone directly for testing purposes.
