TAEF: Unable to connect to Te.Service RRS feed

  • Hi, I am testing our USB type-c device with HLK.

    In UCSI Connector Reset command, we fllow the reference document

    SUT: Running HLK client
    PartnerMachine (DESKTOP-R3777QL): TAEF installed 
    (Both pure Win 10 RS1, and has "Test UCSI" driver installed)

    We can pass the manual test about this compliance test but when use HLK, it fails in 

    C:\Users\USER_NAME\...\Te.exe UcsiComplianceTest.dll /runOn:DESKTOP-R3777QL /p:IsRunningOnSystemUnderTest=False /name:TestUcsi::UcsiCommandInterfaceTests::TestResetPpm
    Test Authoring and Execution Framework v5.8k for x64 (This command was extracted form hlk client)

    Error: TAEF: Unable to connect to Te.Service on DESKTOP-R3777QL (resolved as 192.168.11.4). Please restart Te.Service if it is already installed. (Failed to initialize the RPC connection.) [HRESULT: 0x80070005]. Terminating execution at RunSetup::Execute()...
    Error: TAEF: The selection criteria did not match any tests.
    Error: TAEF: No test cases were executed.

    partner machine value is 

    We have followed the te service page for re-installing and re- starting te.service but no use.

    Is anyone can help to overcome this issue ?

  • After re-install whole OS environment, we checked:

    1. Version of TE.service that running on both test machine were the same.

    2. Since our environment is executing with non-domain accounts, we modified the admin user name and pw to the same on both machines (Both needs sign-in to this account, not DTMUser account). 

    It works.
