Can I add a .ddl to the list of mscorlib.dll? RRS feed

  • Question

  • For windows store apps System.Drawing has been deleted or removed(Obsolete) I am looking for it alternate.... I have a code line that returns a System.Drawing.Bitmap and I really need to use that. I have manually added system.drawing.dll  reference to my project bu it gives me this error

    The type 'System.Drawing.Bitmap' is defined in an assembly that is not referenced. You must add a reference to assembly 'System.Drawing, Version=, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a'.

    Please help me with this. Sample code I have appended here.

    using Aforge.Video.FFMPEG.dll;
    using System.Drawing.dll;
    VideoFileReader reader = new VideoFileReader( );
    // open video file
    reader.Open( "test.avi" );
    // check some of its attributes
    // read 100 video frames out of it
    for ( int i = 0; i < 100; i++ )
        Bitmap videoFrame = reader.ReadVideoFrame( );
        // process the frame somehow
        // ...
        // dispose the frame when it is no longer required
        videoFrame.Dispose( );
    reader.Close( );

  • You will need to use a library compatible with Windows Store apps. There isn't a way to hack in System.Drawing.
