  • You will need the Platform Builder for Windows Mobile.

There is a 180-day evaluation edition available, but I don't know how capable it is. You may need to be an OEM to get this capability.

  • Hi PaulH,

I've that software 'Windows CE 6', but i cant create windows mobile image. It doesn't contains design template for WM. I think we may need license to get platform builder for WM.

Do you know anything related to WM porting to Pandaboard?

    Thanks&Regards, Gugan

  • Hi Gugan,

I think your issue should be raised in the Windows Embedded Compact Platform Development. I believe they will know more information of this issue than us, and I will move this one to that forum.

    Thanks for your understanding,

  • The Windows Mobile toolkit (now called Windows Embedded Handheld) has a very different buissness model than Windows Embedded Compact and is typically only offered to select OEMs after a fairly rigorous qualifying process.

So no, the toolkit is not something that mere mortals can get their hands on easilly.
