Opening Charm Bar Programatically

Question

Is it possible to open the charm bar programatically from a windows 8 application?  Looking to just simply display it.

The Charms bar or something in the Charms bar like 'Settings'?

Hi,

I don't think you can open the charm bar itself programmatically. But you can open certain panes, such as the search pane: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/apps/windows.applicationmodel.search.searchpane.show.aspx
