    I am setting up our DR SSIS enviroment and copied the packages from the production server to the DR server and am experiencing Validation warnings on the DR server but not recieving them on the production server.  Currently our DR server can talk to all the same database servers as the production server. 

    What appears to be happening is that the precision is different between the external column and the output column.  We are not experiencing this in our production enviroment.

    Any ideas if there is a configuration that needs to be done on the dr ssis server?

    If you are getting validation warnings about the external columns in one environment that you are not getting in another, it seems likely that the column definitions or metadata of the data source is different in the two environments. Or, there is a package configuration set to delay validation or similar in one environment that is not in the other.

    You mentioned that the DR server can talk to the same databases as the production server - but do the packages point to the same data source(s) in both environments?
