[Java][Mobile Apps] Android Client side timeout RRS feed

  • Question

  • It seems like the client side timeout on Android is set to something like 10 seconds. Is there a way I can override this? Using Charles proxy I can see that all my requests return successfully, but my code will return with a "Error while processing request" when my requests are throttled.

I am using gradle dependency "com.microsoft.azure:azure-mobile-android:3.0" which is the new android-mobile-apps sdk.

  • Found it for anyone stumbling across the same issue. The MobileServiceClient has a setAndroidHttpClientFactory method which you can use to override the default OkHttp implementation. You can set your timeout on the OkHttp object.
