Bing Maps V8 JS - Is there a property to watch to detect when the JS library has been loaded? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm working on developing a npm package that easily loads Bing maps into a JS project (npm: bing-maps-loader)

The issue that I'm having is knowing when the maps object has been fully loaded.

I know there is a callback that is fired, but the scripts that set the callback may be loaded after the Bing Map JS has been loaded.

The Microsoft.Maps object can exist before the JS has finished loading, so that isn't reliable for checking if the Maps have been loaded.

Is there a property on Microsoft.Maps that is set when the callback is fired or when the JS is fully loaded?
