Outlook.com side-loaded add-in to attach a file in compose mode throws a OSF.DDA.Error code : 9007 attachmentUploadGenericError(9007) RRS feed

  • Question

  • an Outlook Add-in testing it by side-loading it from local manifest file, not able to attach files from a webserver URL.

    OSF.DDA.Error code : 9007 attachmentUploadGenericError(9007)

    My Code Snippet looks as below

    function callback(result) {
      if (result.error) {
        console.log(result.error);
      } else {
        console.log("Attachment added");
      }
    }
        function attach() {
    var res= "https://localhost:8443/myfile.png";
     var options = { 'asyncContext': { var1: 1, var2: 2 } };
           Office.cast.item.toItemCompose(Office.context.mailbox.item).addFileAttachmentAsync(res,'myfile', options, callback);
        }

    Any help in this regard is much appreciated.

  • Hello,

    I could reproduce your issue if the URI is wrong.

    Please open your browser and enter https://localhost:8443/myfile.png to check if the file exists.

  • Hi Celeste,

    That URI is valid and I can see the file content listed (Image) when I try it in browser.

    Thanks

  • Hi Sreedi,

    I found you test it by side-loading. Did you host your web application in IIS, or did you run your application in IIS Express while side-loading?

    I suggest you make a test with online image, here is a simple image which works for me.
