Getting the current MemberID to a variable that I can use? RRS feed

    Can someone give me a snippet that assigns the MemberID (UniqueIdentifier datatype from the club.mdf database) value for a page's currently logged in user to a variable?

    The idea here is that I want to be able to insert that value into a new table.

    You can use Membership.GetUser().ProviderUserKey.

    Thanks, that helped!  I ended up using:

     MemberID = Membership.GetUser.ProviderUserKey.ToString()
