Kernel thread RRS feed

  • Question

  • The kernel threds created using PSCreateSystemThread() run immediately when they are created. Isnt is possible to wait on such a thread? Is it possible to synchronise this thread with another? Unlike in the case of normal thread( example, thread created using AfxBeginThread()), it doesnt seem we can create this thread in a suspended state and start at a later stage?

  • You can have the thread wait on an event and signal the event when you want to do its work. You can wait on the thread object itself, it will be signalled when it terminates.
