Check for CLS Compliance on programming language identifier RRS feed

  • Question

  • Not sure this questing is in the right place, if not I apologize.  Is there a framework function that you can pass a string and checks to see if it is a cls compliant programming language identifier, specificaly in regards to Annex 7 of the Unicode Technical Report #15?

    Thanks

  • I don't think there's anything like that in BCL/.NET APIs.
It is a functionality of programming languages, so the closest thing is CodeDOM (e.g. CodeTypeDeclaration), but I didn't find anything CLS-related there.

Maybe you could use somehow FxCop (e.g. its SDK APIs)? (It's just a wild guess - I never used it before)
