  • Question

  • I recently bought a laptop off of ebay, not knowing it had windows CE as its user. I am wondering if I am able to upgrade it and if so how and what version can I update upto. Can I override it and install another windows application or can I install something such as windows vista or windows 7?

Does the manufacturer support different operating systems? How much RAM and drive space is there?

  • If your laptop has an x86 processor you may be able to install XP,Vista o 7 on it, provided that you can connect a mass-storage device to access the installation media.

If it has an ARM or another non x86 CPU you will be able to update it only with an image provided by the manufacturer.
