Kinect v2.0 error RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello

I am trying to install Kinect v2  SDK, but I get the following error:

"An Error occurred. Please check the setup logs for more information"

And with this i am getting a link to the temp folder of my system.

I cleaned all the temp files but it still gives me the same error.

    Any idea why..????

  • Hello Edday32,

I'm not familiar with this particular issue (that error does not sound very helpful), but here are some general tips to getting the SDK installed:

    1) Verify that your system can support Kinect (OS, USB 3, CPU, GPU, etc).

    2) Verify that you have installed the latest drivers for your machine (USB and Graphics card drivers can be especially problematic).

    3) Check your installed programs list in the control panel to make sure that you don't have a partially installed Kinect v2 SDK (which might be interfering with the current installation).

    4) Reboot your PC (best to start in a clean state).

    5) Plug-in the Kinect v2 sensor to your supported USB 3.0 device.

    6) Download and install the Kinect v2 SDK.

Note: some people who have updated to Win10 have had to do a complete reinstall of the OS before they could get the SDK to work.

    I hope this helps,
