Help with loading separate .xaml pages (per a button click)? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi!

How can I load a separate .xaml page (within the same page) upon a button click?  Per below if a user clicks on a certain button I would like to some how display in a container below the buttons certain controls and animations.  What container (grid, canvas, stackpanel) can I use to load each seperate page (per button click) and what action do I need to take to display each page (somecontainer.loadxamlpage(whatever.xaml) ???).

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks much!

  • go to davidpoll.com ----  silverlight navigation 3
This should help along with silverlight.net go to learn page
choose silverlight 3 choose silverlight 3 navigation screencast
silverlight is a partial  page(ajax) which means you need to go to the  asp.net learn page  and study
ajax asychronous method . you need to use ajax or jquery  to manipulate the html  dom
also a good understanding of wcf, wcf restful, or asmx web services for use on the web
you can also learn asp.net mvc for use with silverlight
Think of it this way silverlight is a html page basically and you use ajax or jquery to manipulate
what you want.... there is also a screencast on wcf ajax it is not perfect but it is a good starting
