Access Denied When Trying To Change Master Page

I'm working with a fresh install of SharePoint. I am a Farm administrator and Have Full Control on the Site and Master Page Gallery. When I go to "Site Settings -> Master Page" and try to change the System Master Page from "seattle" to "oslo" I get the "Sorry, this site hasn't been shared with you".

I've gone into the Master Page Gallery and verified that everything is published. I've activated the "SharePoint Server Publishing Infrastructure" site collection feature as well to see if that had something to do with.

I'm stumped as to why I can't switch master pages. Can someone help?

Hi James,

According to your description, you got an error when you want to change master page.

It seems to be a permission error.

If you are not a site collection administrator, please try to add your account to site settings-> site collection administrator.

If this couldn’t work, please use SharePoint designer to change the master page:

In addition, you could check ULS logs for more information:
Logs file path: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\15\LOGS
