Can I uninstall components? RRS feed

I'm developing a component and using "xpkg install".

If I install a component twice, I get an error.

    /Users/eric/Library/Caches/Xamarin/Components/mycomponent-1.0.0.xam already exists
      at System.IO.File.Copy (System.String sourceFileName, System.String destFileName, Boolean overwrite) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0
      at System.IO.File.Copy (System.String sourceFileName, System.String destFileName) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0
      at Xamarin.Components.InstallCommand.Run (System.String[] args) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0
      at Xamarin.Components.Application.Main (System.String[] args) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0

So I figured I would just uninstall the component. But I can't find a way to do that.

    Am I missing something?

    Hi Eric,

Ah, you can just rm that file for now—looks like I need to make the File.Copy in the "install" helper overwrite the file if it exists. Thanks for the report—I'll update this thread when a fix is released.
