Mobile Bing Broken RRS feed

  • Question

  • Simple Test.

    Windows Phone 8 (Nokia 920)

    1. When Internet Explorer  Website Preference is set to 'desktop version'
        bing.com/maps  renders as expected.

    2. When Internet Explorer Website Preference is set to 'mobile version'
        bing.com/maps  renders this.
                                           Searching ....
                                            No results
We couldn't find any matches ....
                                           close(button)

My app has been building bing links with lat / long for months successfully, not anymore !

Here's how I got existing working code to work again.

    3. m.bing.com/maps ....  renders as expected

If I construct my map link like this
        bing.com/maps .... now get's rewritten in the mobile browser to wp.m.bing.com/maps ....
and renders as described in step 2 above.

Anyone else experiencing this wonderful surprise ?

  • Further testing.

    Windows Phone 8 (Nokia 920)

    1. This link renders a Redmond area map correctly when IE Website preference = 'desktop version'

The same link renders incorrectly when the IE Website preference = 'mobile version'
        bing.com/maps/default.aspx?cp=47.677797~-122.122013&lvl=12

    2. This link renders a map better but ignores lat/long values when IE Website preference = 'mobile version'.

        m.bing.com/maps/default.aspx?cp=47.677797~-122.122013&lvl=12

'mobile version' is just not working correctly !
