Azure server locations and advantages compared to a dedicated hosting??? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello all,

I am total newbie for cloud hosting and I would really appreciate if someone could help me out. I have a website that primarily serves clients in Turkey and it is hosted on a dedicated server. This server is also located in Turkey and we are somewhat satisfied with the performance. I have been thinking about switching to a Azure platform but  I could not find the locations of MS Azure servers. I just want to find out if I was t switch to Azure, if there would be any drawbacks for us (mainly server speed and performance) Any help or guidance is much appreciated.

    Thanks...

  • You can find a list of the Azure data regions here: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-in/regions/.  Just scroll to the bottom and you'll find a list alongside a map.

You can find more information about Azure Web Apps here: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/services/app-service/web/. There is also a link for starting a free trial.

Hopefully this information can help you make a decision about whether to change hosters. Many people choose Azure Web Apps because of the rich set of features and management tools that are available, and the service works well for web apps of all sizes.
