Resizing images

hi I need to resize the image before it gets to the server.

I use the asp.net upload control.

with a GUID value that allocates a ID to the image, this is important as this Value is also stored in the DB.

I did google but the looked realy confusing.

I don't think there's any way of resizing your image before it gets to the server unless you can use some Java app hosted in your web page to resize it client side before the upload. The common solution is to upload the image to the server, resize it there then delete the original if it's no longer needed.

There's some library functionality to resize uploaded images in the code that compliments this article - http://www.codeproject.com/KB/web-image/colorwash.aspx - feel free to download it and use it for your requirements.
