Creating a lite version of an app RRS feed

  • Question

  • I would like to create a Lite version of my app.  I am having trouble configuring developer's studio with a second project for the lite version.  In particular, I found that I need to change a variable "rootnamespace" for the lite version.  Here are the instructions I found on MSDN:

To set /rootnamespace in the Visual Studio integrated development environment
Have a project selected in Solution Explorer.

    1) On the Project menu, click Properties. For more information, see Introduction to the Project Designer.
    2) Click the Application tab.
    3) Modify the value in the Root Namespace box.

I cannot find the application tab for step 2.  Below is a picture of the properties page that opens up.  Can someone give me correct directions and possibly also some basic guidance on how best to configure multiple projects?

  • Hi,

As far as I know, the /rootnamespace is only available in VB project.
You can create a VB project and try again, not C++ or C# project.

As far as I know, there is no project settings for lite version. The Windows Store app should be downloaded and installed from the Windows Store.
