October update Dragonboard 410c BSP RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

Why is this new october update still using the old  2118.0.0.0 BSP for the Dragonboard 410c? I don't understand this. The current version is  2120.0.0.0, which does support much better display resolutions support and audio over HDMI. In addition of these changes, the newest BSP does fix the WiFI Krack, according to the BSP changelog from Qualcomm.

    Best Regards

  • Hello andy-dev,

I get confirmation from the related engineer:

It seems a typo in the release note and we need to update the documentation.

Actually, the October 2018 Update Release of Windows IoT Core images for DragonBoard 410c has latest 2120.0.0 BSP version.

You can remote-in to the device using PowerShell or Open-SSH and run this command: ‘applyupdate.exe -getinstalledpackages’ to check the BSP version. The result will like this:

    Best regards,

    Rita

  • Hello andy-dev,

Yes, October 2018 Update Release Notes for Windows 10 IoT still use BSP Version: 2118.0.0.0 for Dragonboard.

But as a workaround you can download latest version 2120.0.0.0. The BSP files are available at DragonBoard 410c Software under the Windows IoT Core section. And build custom image using the latest BSP. You can have a try.

    Ref:

    "BSP for DragonBoard 410c"

"Get the tools needed to customize Windows IoT Core"

    "Create a basic image"

    Best regards,

    Rita

  • Thank you Rita, i already build a custom image with the newest BSP for the April 2018 Update of Windows IoT Core. Is there a specific reason for not using the current BSP (Bugs or other issues)?

    Best Regards,

    Andy
