Can't access registry afer Impersonation in Windows Server 2008 RRS feed

  • Question

  • What is the proper way to do impersonation in WS2008?  In a .NET 2.0 app, I’m using a combination of managed and unmanaged code (LogonUser, DuplicateToken, and WindowsIdentity), which has been the Microsoft recommended way.  Has this changed?  The reason I ask is that code that works fine in WS2003 has issues attempting access to resources like the registry in WS2008.  The impersonated user is in the Admin group, which leads me to believe that the it doesn’t have elevated privileges after impersonation.  Is there a way to elevate privs after impersonation?
