How to make a portion of text Bold in RDLC ? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have an RDLC report. I am using Report Viewer 2008. I want to make a portion of  text bold. I am using Table in RDLC report. In a Cell I want to show a String Text. This string is updating dynamically. I want to show the Dynamic part as Bold.

For example: "Hello I am working in Techno Softwares Pvt. Ltd. since last one Year."

In this above Text I want to show "Techno Softwares Pvt. Ltd." as bold.

Is there any way to do that? Please help me out...

    Or Contact with me directly:

    Thanks in advance

  • No, each textbox has only one font definition. So all the text will show in a similar boldness.

You could divide the string in three substrings, place the substrings in 3 textboxes and apply different fonts to each. But the final result might not look good, as the 3 textboxes would always appear in the same location.

  • Hi,

I have found that using "ctrl-B" for bold or "ctrl-I" for italics can be used to toggle Bold or Italics on/off as you are typing in a Textbox.

I am using Report Viewer version 10 but I think this used to work in older versions as well.
