Using FoundRow In VB2019 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi:

I have a datatable with two columns, SE_KEY and SE_NAME. I am using FoundRow

to locate a row with a specific SE_NAME. I then want to display the corresponding

SE_KEY in a message box. Here is what I have. It finds the row but does not

    display the SE_KEY value.

Dim foundRow As DataRow = dsPSB.Tables("dtSE_TEMP").Rows.Find("ABC Company")

            If foundRow(0) IsNot Nothing Then

                MsgBox(foundRow(0)("SE_NAME").value.ToString)

            End If

Could someone please help. Thanks very much.

Good to hear you have a solution. In regards to getting more difficult to find help on VB.NET, as time rolls on it's gets going to be even harder as even though Microsoft supports VB.NET focus has shifted more to C#, JavaScript and Python. Then there is the closure of these forums sometime in the next few months.

For those who have no plans to use C# those people will need to figure things out on their own on use Stackoverlow where those members can in short be unkind when someone ask a question say that is not well thought out.

Finally if Les's reply has helpful mark it as an answer also.
