Create Field Category and populate it with my own custom-made fields RRS feed

    when clicking on the Insert field... button in the ribbon bar, the Insert Field dialog is shown.

    I would like to create my own field category which should be listed in the Categories drowdown. Once selected I would of course like to have my own custom-made fields to appear in the Field names dropdown.

    I would like to do all this in VBA code which will be saved as part of my own Word template. So whenever I use the template for a new Word document I will have the fields available. 

    Once I add one of my custom-made fields to the document my VBA code should be called and this should populate the field with some value (which I will get from a database)

    Does anyone know whether this scenario is at all possible? If yes, I would be extremely thankful to get some sample code:-)
