Rotated Text not printing correctly. RRS feed

  • Question

  • So, the issue is this. Built XAML design, with one rotated textblock, -30º on the z axis.

    Showing on screen perfectly fine, yet while printing usign the print charm, the textblock defaults the rotation and appears normal like all the others.

    Is there any aditional step during the print registration so it can print the rotated text?

    Tested on the printer, and on XPS file printer, the issue shows up on both.

    Edit: Xaml markup on the troubled textblock.

    <TextBlock x:Name="crookedT"
               Text="CrookedT"
               FontSize="48"
               Width="250" Height="60"
               HorizontalAlignment="Center"
               Foreground="#4C000000" VerticalAlignment="Center">

               <TextBlock.Projection>
                     <PlaneProjection RotationZ="-30"/>
               </TextBlock.Projection>
    </TextBlock>

  • Hi,

    If you set the RotaionZ to TextBlock, this is the 3-D-like effect on TextBlock. You should Support 3D printing to a 3D printer in your app:

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/apps/dn263137.aspx

    And you can see the 3D Printing Sample

    Best Wishes!
