DF V2 - All Pipelines and Data Sets now saying - This resource references resources which could not be loaded

  • As of this morning all of our pipelines and Datasets are showing with errors as This resource references resources which could not be loaded.

    When we look at the Linked Services we have to Data Lake and to our Integration Runtime gateways we have on our customer's servers, they too are showing in error.

    When we then look at the IRs themselves they are showing as Running - but have an error "Could not load resource"

    We opened a ticket with support but they cannot recreate it so far.

    Strange thing is that the pipelines are running fine - we just cannot edit or create new ones now.

    We did notice that all of sudden the objects json have extra fields in them called "id" and "etag".

    Has anyone else encountered a similar issue?

  • Can you click on the code button of the bad IR and share the JSON with us?
     Also what happens when you click on refresh button (next to Validate All) and Validate All button?

  • Here is an example of one of our IRs now:
    "id": "/subscriptions/6f345be9-f5d8-4eca-8e63-502e2e3ff168/resourceGroups/ic-rg-dtx-reporting-e2/providers/Microsoft.DataFactory/factories/icazdtxdfe2/integrationruntimes/100-IR-AUG",
    "name": "100-IR-AUG",
    "properties": {
    "type": "SelfHosted",
    "description": "selfhosted Augusta site"
    "etag": "34002098-0000-0000-0000-5a9db0880000"

    Refresh shows the same errors for the IRs - but they show as connected and the Pipelines that reference them still run fine.

    We just are unable to maintain anything at this time.

    Today we also noticed that the GUI us now showing a new column named sub-type so we know that active changes are being made to the GUI.

  • Are you using GIT mode or live mode. Most likely you have some invalid chars at the start of the JSON. If you are using GIT mode can you check the content of the file (100-IR-AUG) in GIT under integrationRuntime folder?

    Also when you open the code editor for this IR, what is the error message you are getting at the top of the editor?

    ** If you can share your email, I would like to set up a call to quickly resolve this issue.
