intercept SMS messages sent to Windows mobile phones on specific port. RRS feed

  • Question

  • My current task is to intercept a port directed SMS message sent to Windows mobile phones.

I have looked at a number of API's including the SMS_* and IMAPI and WAP. The IMapi interface seems to be good but there does not seem to be any way to specify a port. The SMS_* api's do not seem to have any port info?

According to WAP wakeup http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa454329.aspx, I change the registry key to listen on the destination port.

I modified the WDP_SMS example located at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb158753.aspx to use the sender only to send a message to the destination port. The receiver in the WDP_SMS example is disabled.

After I run the modified WDP_SMS program, the application registered at the destination port is triggered.

However, when I send a port directed SMS message, the application registered at the destination port remains silent.

Are there any other websites for sending port directed SMS messages?

Are there any existing programs to generate some port directed SMS messages?

Are there any other suggestions to intercept port directed SMS messages to the windows mobile phones?
