  •  Rams,

Silverlight does not currently support mobile platforms.  However, I have heard that plans for this are in the works.

  • Just found it.. but not checked (need to go to work)

MSMobiles reports that Microsoft has launched Windows Mobile Applications directory. It requires Silverlight to work and has no search function and lists only less important programs for e.g: the best GPS program - TomTom - is not listed at all in GPS category!). It also is not running inside of Windows Mobile phone like Apple iPhone App Store, which is running inside of iPhone.

  • As I said, we haven't released Silverlight Mobile yet. Sorry I can't tell you a specific date. But we will definitely release it someday. Please wait for a few more time.

  • Hi jwc, Yi-Lun Luo,

    Thanks for your response.

Microsoft people saying that Silverlight1.0 applications will run on Window Mobile 6.0 OS.

So I guess, we can run our web applications( developed in Silverlight 1.0) .

I have installed  Windows Mobile Professional 6.0 sdk in my System. What are the next steps I have to follow???

Can we develop Stand alone applications that will run from mobiles(for example finding whether, cricket scores, Flight status etc)???

    Thanks in advance,

    Rams.

Sorry guys I think there is a little bit of confusion about if there is or there isn't silverlight for  mobile.

As Ram wrote at  http://silverlight.net/learn/mobile.aspx there is a press that talk about Silverlight. moreover at http://jcstame.wordpress.com/2008/06/25/silverlight-on-windows-mobile/ talk about a silverlight Beta.

So the question is if we have a beta we can start to do something and in this case how? Who want to do it?

If  "Silverlight Mobile hasn't been realised yet" why peaple talk about a beta version and how NBC news can "use Silverlight and Olympics for Audience Research"?

    Thanks for helping
