pl sql print out something in result list RRS feed

    i am using sql developer to prepare a pl/sql , the sql has many logic , how can i print out the statement to test the program execute.

    like sql server i just use print 'xx' to test the  sql , then when i run the sql , it will return in the result list.

    in pl/sql , how should i do?

    not work properly, error about "i must declare dbms_out.put_line..."

    Are you using pl/sql tool?

    If yes, after creation of you sp, right click on sp. click test .

    it will open your test window. give your parameter value. and execute by top left option or ctl+r or f8 key.

    after execution output parameter gives you result by clicking on .. icon at right side of each parameter.

    also in output tab , your dbms_output command result comes.

    If you use toad, then refer link.
