I recently purchased a PC that came with windows vista and when I checked the Task Manager I found that 8 Mbytes of RAM are continuously running. Why? RRS feed

  • when I run the task manager it is continuously running 8 MBytes of RAM even when there are no applications running. This is slowing my computers processing speed by HALF its possible time. WHY?

    Do you mean to say that RAM is in use?  That is certainly normal.  The operating system requires RAM to function and perform various tasks.

    How are you coming to this conclusion?  There are a number of factors that could potentially be impacting the performance or perceived performance of a system.
