Altitude issues with tryPixelToLocation RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have some problems with altitude under birdseye angled view.  When I use "tryPixelToLocation" functions (no matter which point reference I use), I got the location with an undefined altitude.

After I tested I found it seems to be a 0 altitude with Microsoft.Maps.AltitudeReference.ground. The problems is that my data model is built on the altitude reference

    of Microsoft.Maps.AltitudeReference.ellipsoid.

Is there any method that I can conver between different altitude references? (seems not easy because the terrain data is required)

Or is it possible to specify which altitude reference to use for tryPixelToLocation functions?

    Many thanks!

  • I don't believe the altitude information is returned by this method. This method is meant to return a latitude, longitude location that is relative to a pixel coordinate. There is no way to calculate the altitude from a pixel coordinate.
