MDS 2016 - subscription view page freezes RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We have recently test-migrated our MDS-solution from SQL Server 2012 to SQL Server 2016 and have found one ”show-stopper”.

In the subscription view page, it takes forever to load the page, and when we select one of the existing views it takes forever to load the Add/Delete and Edit buttons.

We have 1291 subscription views and its works perfect in MDS 2012.

Has anyone else faced this problem?

  • You need to use tracing in Master Data Services to get the more error to troubleshooting this issue. The Web.config file contains a tracing section, as shown below. This section is new in SQL Server 2016Master Data Services.

The logs are saved in the Logs folder under the WebApplication folder. The default location is C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\130\Master Data Services\WebApplication\Logs.

  • Hi ,

Trace file logging of MDS deployments is not enabled. Instructions for how to enable it can be found enabling logging in the MDSModelDeploy.exe.config file.

can use profiler to check get any error.
