How to audit actions on a particular database RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hey,

I'm running a specific application using a DB hosted on a SQL Standard 2012 server.

Recently we had an issue where the table holding the user accounts was emptied and nobody could login to the application anymore.
I've been asked to put auditing in place on that particular table, so next time we can see what happened, and who did what.

Yesterday I tried to configure a auditing at the database level and received a nice error message telling me that my version of SQL does not support database level auditing.

What other options do I have to log somwhere the activity on that particular table? Do I need to set up triggers? And if yes, do you know any good website explaining how to do it? Is there another alternative than trigegers?

    Thanks in advance
