How to write files in the Appx folder ?

Answers

  • The documentation you link is correct: the install directory is read-only location. Your app cannot write to it.

The only locations your app can write to directly (i.e. with Win32 API such as CreateFile2 and WriteFile) are its application data locations. Other locations that require special permission (e.g. libraries, file picker results) can be accessed only via the StorageItem brokers.

  • Thanks for the answer Rob.

Then I'll work with the app data locations.
