RouteServiceClient.CalculateRoute() generates "An error occurred while processing the request" error RRS feed

  • I also received this error, but had no issues with the "production" version of this request. Now that all services are maintained under one set of servers, there is no need to continue using the staging service even for testing. I strongly recommend registering for an application key at https://www.bingmapsportal.com and changing your desktop app to use this key. You will be asked to supply a URL for your app but you can enter any value (URL) for this field.

    Thanks for your input.  It worked when I directed to the production server address.  It is really good to know that we no longer need to worry about the staging vs. production environment.
