  • Hello, we deploy 64 bit WES7 to most of our products. After applying the latest updates (WEDU into distribution source, then recreate the image after adding applicable updates to the already existing answer files), I can't prevent the "Would you like to install this device software" (with the option to always trust from the same software manufacturer) from popping up while installing the drivers for the modules installed in our products anymore. Normally I put the manufacturer certificates in the certificate store upfront, but that doesn't make a difference anymore. Furthermore, the "Always trust" option appears to be ignored as subsequent driver installations from the same manufacturer repeatedly pop up the same question.

Since this summer, we use SHA2 for signing our drivers and the certificate trick, as well as always trust option (which does the same I think), work on retail Windows.

Anyone noticed the same? Is there a way to fix the behavior?
