Switching data from one form to 3 non-related tables RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm setting a database with 3 tables:

Table1: Multiple Pickups, Destination1 (Fixed), Type(Envelope or Carton), Service (Rush or Standard),

Table2: Multiple Pickups, Destination2 (Fixed), Envelope Only, Rush Only

Table3: Routes only (fixed Pickup, Destination, Cartons only and Special Service)

I would like to setup on big table for these 3 types of services but it would create confusion: Destination2 may be entered as Cartons with Standard Service.

My question is: Do I need 1 form for each table or this can be accomplished  with 1 MASTER form?

  • Hi,

Not sure if your table structure is properly "normalized." You can use a single form if you make it unbound and then use a subform for each table (if there's no relationship) between them.

    Just my 2 cents...
