MessageBodyArray attribute is missing. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,
    I've recently learing WCF by doing some WCF tutorials (e.g : Programming Indigo on msdn).  My taks was to create WCF service for specific WSDL/xsd. In this wsdl I've had got some elements in header on same level.

    <Department>
      <DepartmentID>PRO1243</DepartmentID>
      <DepartmentName>Production</DepartmentName>
      <Employee>Sam</Employee>
      <Employee>Ram</Employee>
      <Employee>Raja</Employee>
    </Department>

    I was using [MessageHeaderArray] and it's work well but only for Head Section. So I was looking for something like that but for body section. [MessageBodyArray] is mentioned in some tutorials but I can't find it in System.ServiceModel. Maybe I using wrong assembly(System.ServiceModel.dll) or it is just a myth:)?

  • Hi,

    We can use the MessageHeaderArray attribute which will serialize the array element independently, Then for the MessageBodyArray attribute I have searched a lot of information in the MSDN and have done a test in my side, but I am sorry I did not found any definition about the [MessageBodyArray].
