Setup error (error with code 0x0000005C)

Question

Greetings!
Please assist with the following error. When I tried to install W8 I received the error with code 0x0000005C and Parameters: 0x00000200; 0x05250631; 0x00000005; 0xC000000E.
I am installing it on my old laptop, which complies with minimal Win7 requirements. Should this necessarily mean that it complies with Win8 either?
Thank you in advance.

Hello PureEnergySBV,
Usually the Stop Error 0x0000005C indicates a hardware issue of some kind. I realize your attempting to install the Windows Developer Preview on a laptop but make sure all external devices are disconnected. I would also suggest checking to see if the laptop manufacturer has a BIOS update available.
Thanks

What re your PC specs? Do you try to install in VirtualPC as VM? In this case it doesn't work.
Use Hyper-V, VirtualBox or VMWare Workstation 8.

Same problem, on an Acer Aspire 9420.
Seems to be consistent with a lot of Acer Aspire laptops from what I have been searching.
Any help appreciated.
