Display of Unicode or other Encoded Characters RRS feed

  • Question

  •

    In a Windows Form (Visual Studio 2005) how would I go about displaying Unicode or Encoded characters in a textbox?

    For example, I'd like to see the Korean character set for code 128-256.

    For example, I'd like to see the Unicode character for code 1025.

    Is there a way to display these on my form (textbox)?

    I tried:

    Code Snippet

    Encoding encode = UTF8Encoding.Unicode;

    byte[] b = new byte[] { byte.Parse("165") };

    this.txtResults.Text = encode.GetString(b);

    No matter what I put in I just get a silly little square.

  • You have to set the proper font for your textbox, try something like "Arial Unicode MS".
