Can I take a XML format data type to healthvault PPE? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,
I have allergy, immunization, and some other disease details in XML files. Is it possible to take that XML files to the healthvault server and insert it into the corresponding attributes in the healthvault PPE? Or Should I take the patient data in any other format?

  • If you are talking about entering XML directly into shell (http://account.healthvault-ppe.com) and thus creating instances of allergy datatypes, it is NOT possible.

You need to write code to get your xml which represents an allergy into HealthVault using the correct thing type (in this case Allergy thing type).

The most straight forward way if you are using .Net SDK, is to create instances of Allergy data type, populate its properties from XML and then call NewItem function which will create the instance in HealthVault.
