Problem with font

    There's an app for Win App Store, which using D2D for text render. Recently faced with the problem of loading a particular font - "Segoe UI Semibold" (seguisb.ttf). I used by the example code (Direct2D magazine app sample) to load fonts and the most of them was loaded without any problems. In principle, the above font , too , kind of like a loaded, I can't use it to create a TextLayout. Instead, TextLayout created with use the first available font of the collection. If trying to get FontFamilyName from font collection through GetFamilyNames - then I get - "SegoeUISemibold", but the reverse procedure -

    fontCollection-> FindFamilyName (L "SegoeUISemibold", &index, &exists)

    returns false. Has anyone encountered similar problem? Maybe there are some limitations with the fonts for "Win App Store" applications?

  • I didn't double check this in D2D, but often "Segoe UI" will be the family name and Semibold the weight.
