PPS dashboard not opening - Urgent help required RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi - I have deployed PPS dashboard which has scorecard, chart, filter etc.  and it was working fine.  Today we have got a message that service is down when i launched sharepoint administrator.  I have just restarted the connection pools in IIS and then sharepoint central administartor launched successfully.  However, when I am clicking my Dashboard to launch with Performance Point dashboard designer it is not opening my Dashboard.  Unfortunately I dont have local .ddwx.  When I am trying to create New Data Connection it is throwing below msg:

An Unexpected error occured.  Additional details have been logged for your Administrator.  I got below msg in Event Viewer.  Please help me in fixing this issue.

  • Have you confirmed that the actual PPS service is running in Central Admin?

  • Hello,

There are Following two solutions available for this issue.

    1. Go to Central Admin

           Manage services on this server

            PerformancePoint Application, click Stop

            Accept warning to disable it

Once disabled, wait a few minutes, then start it again.
