How do I set the position for a combobox with LitDev? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I can't find it in the documentation.

    Why does the command only set width and height, but not the left and top position?

    AddComboBox(list, width, height)

    Compare it to a built-in command, where you set the position, then the size:

    blah = Controls.AddTextBox(left, top)
    Controls.SetSize(blah, width, height)

    Why is it different with LD and how do I set the position? Also, why not have "AddComboBox(list, left, top, width, height)" directly?

  • Many different ways it could have been done - once it is done one way best not to change it.  Either way, in this case:

    Use Shapes.Move(controlName,left,top)

  • Hi,

    You can try moving the combo box using Shapes.Move

    Combo box without Shapes.Move():

    Combo box with Shapes.Move()

    By using SB-Prime IDE's Shapes editor:

    SB-Prime IDE is developed by LitDev

    Thanks.
